The Black Stars of Ghana are in Abuja for the return match between them and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The first match between the two sides ended in a stalemate on March 25 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The two-leg matches are World Cup matches and the better side of the two would be at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Something interesting happened when the Super Eagles came to Ghana and this was the fact that the steps given to them to get down from their plane were short so the players were barely jumping off their plane.
Fearing a similar gesture, the Black Star used an expensive plane with inbuilt steps for their trip to Abuja. This was made known by Nigerian reporter, Osasu Obayiuwana.
Sharing a photo, he wrote;
“See the guilty conscience of #Ghana @GhanaBlackstars? They are using a plane with inbuilt steps for their flight to #Abuja, for the return leg of the #JollofDerby with the
@NGSuperEagles. They’re afraid we’d force them to use parachutes, in retaliation for Kumasi… ”
